Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Capital Tree Management ("we", "us", "our") to our customers ("you", "the client"). By accepting our quote or booking our services, you agree to the terms below.
-
About us Capital Tree Management Ltd provides professional tree surgery and arboricultural services across London. We aim to carry out all work safely, responsibly, and to a high professional standard.
-
Quotes and bookings All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A booking is confirmed once the quote has been accepted. Quotes are based on the information available at the time of inspection. If site conditions differ significantly or additional work is required, we reserve the right to revise the quote before work begins.
-
Cancellations and rescheduling There may be cases where we must cancel due to weather, emergencies, or other circumstances outside our control. In such cases, we will always try to reschedule your job.
-
Permissions and legal requirements It is the client’s responsibility to inform us of any Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), conservation area restrictions, or property covenants that may affect the work. If permission is required and has not been granted, we cannot carry out the work. We may assist with applications where possible, but responsibility remains with the client.
-
Site access and client responsibilities Clients must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area and ensure pets, vehicles, and personal belongings are kept clear of the work zone. Clients must inform us of any underground services, drainage, cables, or hidden hazards. While we take care to avoid damage, we cannot be responsible for issues caused by undisclosed utilities, structural weaknesses, or hidden defects. Clients are responsible for ensuring suitable parking arrangements. Where parking or a valid parking permit for on-street parking is not provided, the client agrees to cover any resulting parking charges and fines.
-
Waste removal All branches, logs, and debris will be removed from site unless otherwise agreed in writing. Woodchip or logs can be left on site if requested in advance.
-
Insurance We hold Public Liability Insurance up to £5,000,000. Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.
-
Standard of work and liability All work is carried out to recognised industry standards. We aim to improve tree health and safety wherever possible. We are not responsible for pre‑existing defects, decay, or hidden conditions within trees, or for natural movement or failure of trees after pruning. We are also not liable for damage caused by severe weather following completion of work. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so under UK consumer law.
-
Delays and force majeure We are not responsible for delays caused by extreme weather, site access issues, supply problems, illness, or events outside our reasonable control. We will always aim to reschedule work as soon as possible.
-
Complaints If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us at enquiries@capitaltreemanagement.com so we can resolve the issue quickly and fairly.
-
Subcontractors In some cases we may use trusted, qualified subcontractors to assist with work. All subcontractors will meet our safety, training, and insurance standards.
-
Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact Capital Tree Management before booking work.
